The Meribel is an affordable garden-style property located in Weaverville, North Carolina, and owned by LDG Development. With 156 units ranging from one to three bedrooms, the community blends practical living with scenic mountain surroundings. Its name pays homage to the French mountain town of Méribel, evoking both elegance and the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains that envelop the area.
Designed with families and individuals in mind, The Meribel offers comfortable, accessible housing while reflecting LDG’s commitment to creating communities rooted in place and inspired by their landscapes.
brand without identity
The initial logo and color scheme of this brand new property played into the origin of the name; Maribel, a mountain town located in France. With earthy tones and a mountain inspired logo, the community was able to tie in the surrounding mountains of North Carolina, but faced tough competition with similar inspiration in the area. Our job was to utilize the initial inspiration and transform the bones of the property into a full brand identity, including various logos, an official color palette and fonts to use across the board.

For Meribel, we developed a brand that captures the alpine charm of its mountain-inspired name and setting. We delivered a flexible logo suite, including horizontal, vertical, and icon versions, alongside a cool, earthy color palette and clean, elevated fonts. The overall identity feels serene and grounded, designed to resonate with the natural beauty of Weaverville while standing out from nearby competitors.
